Description
My mother lived an amazingly full life, even though she struggled with Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.) for twenty-four years. For many years I've considered writing a book about my family's experiences as the nine of us sought to cope with the consequence of her illness. When my wife Kim was recently diagnosed with M.S., I felt even more compelled to write about these experiences. Why am I compelled to share this information with others? There are many reasons to share one's life experiences with others, but the primary reason that I want to "document" some of our family experiences is to share how Scripture has inspired our family to overcome the everyday trials and tribulations of Multiple Sclerosis. Throughout this book, I refer to a specific verse in the Bible and then relate it to a personal experience. That I include specific references to my parents, siblings, spouse, or children is not that important; they merely illustrate that every family goes through trials and tribulations. What is important though is the perspective or the "lens" through which we view these opportunities of life.
