Description
Patterns of the Western Mind provides an accessible overview and evaluation of some heartfelt, history-making, theory-laden responses in the West to the Word and works of God over the course of time. In addition, while standing on some of the shoulders of those who have gone before in the name of Christ, Kok explains the sense of some basic thought patterns that are in line with Scripture and in that sense deserve the name "christian." The two main parts of this book make for a valuable introduction to reformational philosophy--the first one of its kind written by a native English speaker for a North American audience. Interspersed are guide questions useful for individual or classroom study.
