Description
Proclaiming Christian Education is a set of two books written in the Korean language, one for children and one for teachers using the book for children. Following the theme of “Creation, Fall, Redemption,” the books teach children about God and help them see that they have value and important work to do. “Korean society is very competitive and young people are under tremendous stress caused by the entrance examination to universities,” explained Shim, who says that this pressure shapes the culture and can cause many to suffer low self-esteem. “This secular tendency is also reflected among the Christian community. Within this cultural context, the books describe how Christians should think and live, how God created mankind and how he is now recreating them, how to live out Christian faith in actual life situations, and how faith guides study and work.”
